I think this may be the connect 2 system giving a warning of a possible hazard ahead, such as, S bend or known accident blackspot.
It's been a while since I set up my connect system ,but I think there was an option for blackspot warning.
When I have a chance I will check it out and let you know.

 

Cheers, doesent give a beep beep sound,its a totally different sound like phone battery running down

 

Strange 3 beep audible warning not related to overtaking or lane departure.Driving in straight line hear this on occasions sounds like a text on mobile phone.
Anyone any ideas or is it a tyre sensor warning?

It's probably the over speed or hazard warnings that the connect 2 gives out on some roads.
These give a 3 beep warning.
To turn on or off go to, setup- navigation- map setup- guidance info.
From here you can switch on/off the various warnings.
TPMS, tyre pressure monitoring would give a visual warning on the dashboard screen.

 

Need to have another look at connect got 3 consecutive audible warnings one after the other.

 

Audible warning was speed cameras, thought connect also gave voice warning.

 

My Connect 2 gives single tone beep for speed camera warning, if speed warning is on gives higher pitched tone and yellow triangle if I'm above the speed limit (by 'x' mph), and often get multi tone beep which I suspect is where speed drops from say 50mph to 30mph.

Never had a voice warning for any of these.

Sound like going from one speed limit area to a lower speed limit, when potentially speeding.

 

Got the triple warning today, slip road off motorway where the speed drops from 70mph to 40mph and warning came at speed change point.
