Anyone know if the petrol Note E11 catalytic converter is vulnerable to theft.

No, as it is mounted quite high up.

There are far easier 'targets' then the Note.

There has been a spate of thefts locally and virtually all have been
Toyota Prius
Lexus 350/400/450
Honda Jazz

As vulnerable as any other petrol engine car. It really depends where you leave your motor and for how long?

Have you had yours stolen, as indicated by your heading?

The cat has not been stolen, just getting worried due to the increasing amounts being stolen in the news.

They normally target the cats that are fitted under the vehicle and which are easy to jack-up, cut-out and steal.

The one on the E11 Note is tucked away quite well and really needs the whole car lifted to get at it.

If you are really worried then consider buying a Catloc to protect it.

I wouldn't think the Note as a car would be too high up on thieves' lists. But yeah the catalytic converter isn't too vulnerable going by how it's mounted as said above .

We've had another spate of these locally.

All were Prius, Lexus and Honda Jazz.

The local Honda dealer has run out of cats and they are quoting 4-6 weeks for new deliveries as the problem on the Jazz is so widespread.

Something extra to look for when buying a car, where is the cat, is it easy to steal.
