Just registered after browsing some of the interesting forums.

Having brought a ntec+ in August wondered how you go about updating the Sat Nav SD card ?

Options are:

<ul>[*]You buy a new one from the dealer for an incredible price[*]You
buy the same one on eBay for about half the price (make sure it is
genuine, or at least copied properly, you need one of those bit level
imaging copiers, high level copies don't work)[*]You wait until the next next update and buy someones last update card cheap[*]You just ignore it as in the UK the building of a new road is once in 1000 years.

[/list]

My TomTom is so old that when I drive along the "new" A5 to Tamworth, as opposed to the original Roman cobbles, it shows that I am driving through a field, I can always find where I'm going though.

Ebay is your route (pun intended) Ian. About £30-40 for the 2011/2012 card less what you can get for yours.

Yesterday I got a message on my sat-nav about an update but unfortunately my lad 'dismissed' it before I could take it in.

I'm guessing this is a dealer job and won't be cheap? If so I won't bother.
