Check the owners handbook that there isn't a way to turn them off first.


Then take it back to the dealer.

If anything doesn't seem right, take it back, and keep on taking it back until it is perfect whilst you have a warranty.

You sure you're getting near enough for them to operate?I don't bother listening for them now as they seem to need you too close for comfort before they start chirruping.
The last time I used them I was practically on top of the car behind before they turned into a continuous tone.

sorry for my blunt reply
as above put it in reverse and get some one to walk behind the car it should start bleeping when some thing is with in 18" - 2ft(450mm-600mm) also make sure you reverse lights are working too

Thanks for replies. 2nd note we've owned & happy with it. Just checking it is automatic. Looks like a trip to the dealership. Cheers
