well nissan do some crome bits there not cheap, cobra-sor do items for the prefacelift and impul do some nice stuff but its not cheap you also have to import it from japan through an agent like J's Garage
hello wishmaster, i have looked at different sources on the web and found that modified parts for the note are very expensive! I also plan to start modding my note this year as the weather improves, but i will just have to get creative with my limited budget.
Well ididn'tdo too bad for my birthday from the kids and the Mrs, they got me some nice S/Steel kick plates , a tasty exhaust trim, set of 4 mud flaps and some chrome letters which spell 'TEKNA'. All on now and look brill
. Cheers guys
Oh and a brake light transfer with PORN STAR on it
Hi thereCan i ask where you got the transfer from as I would like one to say "Note" on it, plus I am also thinking about changing the majority of my existing exterior and interior bulbs to LED's, and Lastly when i can afford it , im hoping to get a full cat back Stainless Steel Custom made exhaust system, from a company in mansfield, who did my Primera active. It had a system in SS with oinly one box as apposed to three no main cat just the precat on the manifold, 3" all the way, then a 5" Dia tail pipe, and it sounded great and loud, but was tested with better carbon emission results than the standard system.
Lastly I would like help and advice on fitting a Filter charge system to my 1.6ltr 16v Tekna Auto, as there doesnt seem to be a package available, plenty for the diesel but only replacement filters for mine.
Careful on the new MOT regs that came into force this year....
..... Products on the lens or light source that obviously reduce the light's
intensity or change its colour will become a reason for failure ""“
applies to front/rear position lamps, registration plate lamps, stop
lamps, rear fog and direction indicators !! (Dont see this on the DOT website, but its what I read elsewhere!!)
..... A catalytic convertor fitted as original equipment but missing will be a reason for failure. (This appears on the DOT website).
Well iv had the Exhaust sytem things done before, you dont need the larger of the two Cats to pass an MOT and be compliant, all you need is a working CAT of some sorts, therefore the pre cat is sufficient to comply, as for the lights, as you will already know running lights dont ness go on the actual lenses but either go around or near by, ttherefore, this awful little reg wont apply. As fo some of these wondeful reg, does any one feel that they are just trying to push us out of our cars and on to public transport, where we will be a number and not to have any individuallity
May i ask where you get this information from? as i have had a look at a local garages MOT requirement directiv and no where on there does it state that, however it does say that brake lights two should work one eitherside of the car, if a third is fitted it isn a legal requirement for this to work
High level 3rd Brake light fitted as standard must be working for mot and cannot be covered in decals my sons car failed mot twice, once for light not working then for his name obscuring the light, I have checked with the met police traffic division and they also confirmed it is a failure.
Aye.. dont shoot the messenger. I checked on the Directgov motoring webpage regarding the exahust system, and there was a mention on the AA website about brake lights etc. Best thing is check it out yourselves !! I think there is "some" give-n-take if you had your MOT done before April this year, some fails will be only an advisory this time around. Next year.... its a fail !!
Since the new MOT came into force Ive seen my Note, a Micra CC and a LR Disco fail its MOT the front suspension bush rubbers... seems the bush rubbers are a good money earner for the garages now come MOT time.
Personally, Im hoping absolutely SHEDLOADS will fail their MOTs on unauthorised "pimping" .... considering most are (probably) uninsured as they never told thier insurance of the mods, then the only time YOU will know is when one of the chavs smack into your own car... or even worse.. smack into one of your family !!!!
As of the 1st of jan its now a mot fail if you have anything hanging from the rear view mirror ie an air freshner
Also remember to turn off the child locks for the MOT as the rear doors need to open from the inside and outside
Well i find the who thing /state that we live in very boring, its about time the MOT people were able to accept a bit of individuality, as having crs all the same is very boring, plus we are all not A to B people. There are far more dangerour things out there than a third high level brake light shining "Note" Or "Saxo"
What about all the Merc, Audi and BMW drivers that dont knohow to use their indicators?, on many occassions i have come up to "Stop " junctions where people just dont stop to a halt , but treat them as give ways, or people who over take on cross hatch or red. Any way I think the MOT thing is down to where you go, I have had the exhaust thing done on two so far no with out problems, as for the Third brake light issue, if or should i say when i get it done itll be on a removable system to comply to the Mystical MOT regs.
Plus its about time we stopped being So serious about things, its supposed to be fun and chilled out.
So be good to organise a national Note Day!
