Now I've got everyones attention,
On the nissan note do you use the same alloy wheel nuts if/when using the space saver steel wheel.

I've heard that some manufacturers use different length/type wheel nuts for their alloy wheels and steel space savers.

Any feed back most welcome

I haven't got any spare shorter bolts either, and the spacesaver shows signs of use, so I reckon the bolts are alright.

A chap at work put the spare on his wife's Mercedes A class with the standard bolts, they go too far into the hub and stop the car with a CLUNK. This had the unfortunate consequence of bending the bolts over so they wouldn't come back out either.

How he chuckled at the bill from Mercedes for that one.

Crazy if you ask me, having to find the shorter bolts from the tool kit. They could at least have put big stickers on the wheel about it.

The wheels are designed to take the alloy bolts if you look at the wheel the bolt holes are raised
