NS rear light and climate control lights

Rear light is not working and at the same time I’ve noticed the climate control lights come on with the ignition but quickly go off. Checked bulb and fuses all ok so only other thing could be a wire or holder. I’m assuming this light being off is why the climate control lights go straight off as car assumes light is not on

Not entirely sure about this. Not sure which light you are referring to, but your description makes it sound like a relay that is bad.

I think those lights only stay on when you have the side lights or main headlights on.
