Happy to join.
Swopped my 2009 Micra N-tec for a new Note Ntec+ 1.6 Auto in november 2012 and arrived in this forum looking for the correct spec of the engine oil.

Liked what I saw and decided to stay!

Greetings everyone.

Peter.

Just looking to top-up, not to change it.
Lots of conflicting info on net but it seems the popular vote is 5-30 semi-synthetic.

Wish I knew what the factory use.

I never mix makes of oils unless I have to.

Mine was actually underfilled at new

Added 400ml and, 6000 miles later, haven't added another drop.

Mine was also a lttle short.

Micra was new and had one top up then nothing between services. I do not mind too much as the bores need to settle on a new engine. My other car never needs oil as it is on a two year schedule.

Just wanted not to mix brands/SAE on the new Note.

P.S. I guess there is a way of getting last posts to be shown at the top of the listing. IE last posts first?

Re - Last Posts First.

Just click on "Message" adjacent to the word "author" and the last post starts the sequence.

Take the 2 - to return to last post last :-

Click on the little yellow chevron by the "Message" word, which appears when you have initially reversed the sequence.
