I have a 2013 ntec automatic Nissan note. I’ve noticed after driving in wet weather that my boot carpet either side gets wet. I’ve lifted the carpet and noticed each side on the floor in the metal part of the boot are 3 round holes and I assume this is where the water is getting in. I’ve had this problem since last year and I’ve covered the holes with bin liners each side - not ideal! Has anyone else noticed these holes in their Nissan? If the water is not coming in from these holes then any suggestions where it’s getting in? I’ve had the problem since last summer and the back of the boot carpet has got wet and the backing is breaking up in places. I’ve had the car since 2016 so maybe these holes are not to blame as only noticed wet boot last year.

It's worth checking the supply pipe to your rear wash/wiper.
I've known these to fail in the past.
You can be happily spraying your rear window unaware that you are pumping water into the boot area! ☺
