I brought a 1.5 dci ntec 2012
Was ok until front part of seat rucked up.
went back to saleman .
they ordered a replacement one
only thing is it was in june and has to come from japan as the revamped the ntec in feb and no seats over in the uk
I an told should be getting it replaced soon.

has anyonr else had issues with the drivers seat as well.


apart from that that the diesel is going great saving moneey for my
avage around 50 mils to gallon

I think it was one of those rare problems, no car is immune to those.


As for 50mpg from your diesel, you must have a heavy right foot.


I get nearer 60mpg, and most times more. As your car is new, the engine won't 'loosen up' for a good few thousand miles, so the mpg should improve. Mine did just that.


Personally, I had the oil & filter changed after 5000km(whatever that is in miles) from new, just for my own peace of mind.

Just had the seat replaced today
Feels a lot better now it looks right.
you may be right about the heavy right foot.
for a disel it is so nippy.
but even at 50mpg it is still better than my old car
that was a 2litre renualt scenic got about 25 to 27 out of that

That's quite good going. 10 days from Japan and fitted.


In all honesty, there's not a busting lot of performance difference between all 3 engine types, except in mpg. Around 2 seconds in the 0-60 race, I can live with that.


Diesel in Ireland is about 8 - 12% cheaper, so a diesel made perfect sense for me.
