Has anyone been able to connect an older I Pod Classic to the USB SOCKET on the Nissan Note?

It works with the jack socket but without steering wheel control.

If I Have to buy a new USB PLAYER. does anyone have any recommendations.

Thank you

not tried a classic but have used 2nd, 3rd,4th,5th gen ipod touch's, 2nd and 3rd gen nano's and 1st and 2nd gen shuffles so i cant see why it wouldnt work as long as you have a connect or the later stereos with usb

Don't buy a new USB player is my tip.
Flash drives are now so cheap that you might as well keep your iPod and buy a 32GB 'stick' for around £15 from somewhere like www.mymemory.co.uk

Enough to hold 000's of tracks and will hide away nicely under the cubby flap.
