My 1.4 Note air con has just been repaired and re gassed but in the now very hot (for the UK ) weather there is a lot of of water being generated round the pipe to the dash under the bonnet from the condenser.
I can understand that this is probably due to high atmospheric humidity but where is this steady drip supposed to go -it just seems to drip onto the top of the chassis.
Is this OK.
On my wife's Toyota RAV4 condensation water from the aircon appears from somewhere under the car but seems to cause no harm.

The water on the pipe just drips onto the chassis. Compared to what happens when it is raining, it is nothing to worry about.

The water that drains onto the ground comes from the evaporator inside the heater unit. On a Note, there is a small rubber drain pipe that comes out above the heatshield of the exhaust under the passengers feet.

What usually happens is the heater settles in its mountings preventing the drain from working, and this condensate runs out onto the carpet- on mine on the passenger side, others report drivers side, I suppose it depends on how it is parked.

No, there should not be a lot of water from the air conditioner, so most likely, something is not working correctly from the parts. You need to find specialists because, in principle, your problem is not so serious. If the leaking water does not interfere with you, then you can leave it like this for a while. You've seen how some people do it. But in my opinion, it is best to read about it on the Internet and then call an air conditioning specialist. I do not know what these air conditioners are made of, because for some reason, my aircon light was blinking, but it worked poorly. It's good that I came across a helpful article about this Aircon Light is Blinking | Marvellous Aircon Servicing Singapore. Otherwise, it would have been wrong...
