Hi. I have a 2008 Nissan note 1.5L dci. A problem developed about 6 months ago where occasionally when the car was started warm the car would temporarily go into limp mode. Mainly when I went to shell and filled up it would catch me out trying to pull out of the petrol station. The limp mode would last up to a minute and then go back to normal. This has become more frequent and I’m getting to the stage where I should take it to a garage. Has anyone had this before and possibly know what could be at fault? The garage have said the engine is sweet as a whistle so it doesn’t seem like the cars on it’s way out.

Could be crank sensor, these tend to play up when hot like in a traffic jam, or a couple of minutes after stopping the engine, and settle down again when they cool with airflow.

When you fill up with fuel, do fill as much as you can; the fill nozzle click a number of times till no more goes in, or do you stop filling on the first click stop?
