My Note 1.4 Petrol started to run lumpy, gradually getting worse during journey , but recovering a little after a rest . OBD II diagnosis of Engine Warning gave P00132 which was 02 sensor bank 1 . MOT Garage confirmed running rough due to sensor and so replacement fitted . Still failing omissions and so 2nd 02 sensor ( one after Cat ) also fitted ......... Still very borderline on Omissions , but running sweet again . Advised a New Cat will be required for MOT . Strange that either of these issues have developped after only approx 55000 Miles of steady driving , including short and long runs ( just had 1000 mile round holiday trip to cornwall without a blip ) . Is this to be expected , Can it be cleaned as per adverts , advice please .. Just spent 300 on new clutch , then 250 on 2 sensors and brake pads , now looking at expense of Cat .

The good news is that the cat is not as expensive as a clutch (parts about £170 from EuroCarParts) and a simple bolt and plug job.

If it is going then it will likely take the new sensor with it before long at it sits 'upstream'.

No experience, sorry, of cat regeneration, this type only has one life not nine.

If your cat is borderline as it has been run with rich mixture, give it some long motorway runs to give it a chance to clean up, it may then be good enough to pass the MOT

as above a boot full of gas and get her up the rev range towards the redline, get things nice and hot and that should clear it a bit it may take 100 odd miles to do it mind

you can get cat cleaner tbh its snake oil and not worth the money
