Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

... and this just shows that we've learned by heart every word we use. Those who oppose Beasties learning multiplication tables seem to have missed that fact.

I often memorise the serial numbers of notes in my wallet, just to keep the brain exercised. It came in useful once when I was told I'd paid with a £10 note instead of a £20 note. I was able to tell the slimy creep the serial number of the £20 I'd given him. I haven't been back there since.
